Accessibility

The entire venue is wheelchair accessible. There is a wheelchair-accessible entrance and designated parking spaces for wheelchair users in the Ehrenfest parking garage. Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are available in the central hall of the building (rooms DE0–DE4, EE0–EE3, and GE1–GE4). The building is also equipped with elevators and toilets suitable for wheelchair users. There also is a special entrance (and elevator) at ‘de schotel’, where the plenary sessions will take place. If you use a wheelchair, please indicate this on the registration form and/or in the submission portal. We will provide you with the necessary information and ensure smooth access.

Food

During the registration process for our conferences, we offer the possibility of indicating dietary requirements, gluten free, nut free and lactose free. We serve only vegetarian and vegan options for all attendees and participants.

Children

Within the Leiden area, there are three childcare options for ECCB ‘26 attendees. All services are at your own expense, with costs varying by providers and hours. Breastfeeding is allowed throughout the conference space; a special, private room will be available for breastfeeding.

Charly Cares

Charly Cares connects parents with local babysitters through an app-based platform operating across the Netherlands, including Leiden. Sitters, called “Angels,” are background-checked and available for flexible, on-demand childcare. Services support quick bookings for short-term needs.

Korall’s Kids Care

Korall’s Kids Care provides babysitting services in Leiden using only vetted HBO/WO pedagogy students as nannies. They offer a variety of babysitting services, available upon request.

Special rooms and spaces

One room will also be available for prayer, silence or rest. For those rooms you will need to make a reservation via the registration form (for attendance) or the portal (for submitting).
