Interview with Keynote speaker: Berta Martin-Lopez
April 10, 2026Early registration for ECCB 2026 has now closed. We are pleased to see the strong interest from the conservation biology community and look forward to welcoming participants from across Europe and beyond to Leiden from 6 – 10 July 2026.
If you have not registered yet, we strongly encourage you to do so soon. The detailed programme is now available online, offering a full overview of the keynote lectures, symposia, workshops, parallel sessions, training courses and poster presentations. It is the best way to plan your congress experience and make sure you do not miss the sessions most relevant to your work.
In addition to the scientific programme, ECCB 2026 offers several opportunities to connect with colleagues in a more informal setting. The social programme and excursions will provide valuable moments for exchange, networking and exploring Leiden and its surroundings in connection with the congress themes. The congress diner on Thursday promises to be the highlight of the week including the reveal of the carbon offset and legacy project that YOU can contribute to by attending ECCB 2026!
Throughout the week there will also be plenty of time to connect with young and seasoned professionals during several activities from our Mentor/Mentee program. Participation is free and you can show your interest during registration.
Places for the congress, excursions and social activities are limited, and some are already fully booked. Register now, explore the detailed programme, and start planning your ECCB 2026 experience.
We look forward to seeing you in Leiden!
